Face recognition means handling biometric data — a special category under UK GDPR. We build for that from the start, and we’ll help you deploy it the right way.
Recognition runs on your own hardware — biometric templates stay on-site and aren’t sent to a cloud vision vendor. We capture only what a use case needs, and set clear retention so data doesn’t pile up.
Using biometrics to identify people needs an Article 6 lawful basis and a separate Article 9 condition, and the ICO expects a Data Protection Impact Assessment. We help you scope those — including where a less-intrusive alternative is the better answer — before anything goes live.
